Wine Boscarelli, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, 2021, 375 ml

According to the XVII century poet Francesco Redi, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is considered the “king of all wines.” The wine is produced from selected berries and has good aging potential. Harvested by hand in small boxes. After separation from the stalks and soft pressing of the grapes is fermented in small oak barrels and steel, which is filled only three-quarters, at a controlled temperature of 28-30 C for a week. Then another 5-8 days maceration lasts. Extract of wine for 18-24 months in barrels of passes Slovenian and French oak volume 350-2000 liters. The history of the winery Poderi Boscarelli began in 1962, when Egidio Corradi Marquis De Ferrari decided to do viticulture and winemaking far from Chervonyano de Montepulciano. This winery has become a family farm, business Egidio continued his daughter Paola and her husband Ippolito. Their children, Luke and St. Nicholas, also work on the farm since 1983. Poderi Boskarelli located in the historic area of Vino Nobile – Chervonyano. Vineyards farms spread at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level in the south-east of Montepulciano. This area is characterized by a special microclimate, ideal for growing quality grapes. Earth – alluvial, stony and sandy – create good drainage and give the grapes unique style. The most common variety here is Sangiovese, it accounts for 80% of the total vineyard area. The remaining land is occupied by autochthonous varieties – Canaiolo, Colorino, Mammolo and international varieties such as Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah. Wines Poder Boskarelli have high ratings and annually included in the prestigious wine guides “Gambero Rosso” and “Veronelli”.
