Wine Castello Banfi, “Poggio alle Mura” Rosso di Montalcino DOC, 2021

“Poggio alle Mura” Rosso di Montalcino – a very elegant wine, perfectly combining tradition of Tuscan winemaking and innovation, it is rightly called “superklassikoy” Castello Banfi Montalcino from. For this wine, released for the first time in 2010, used a clone derived from Sangiovese grapes. Vineyard, planted in 1992, on sandy soils containing inclusions of pebbles and limestone strata of the Pliocene epoch, is the height of 210-220 meters above sea level in the vicinity of the castle of Poggio alle Mura. The winery is equipped with a unique two-level management duo-vats. The design of tanks, patented Banfi, does not provide for the use of pumps and is a combination of oak and steel. The wort obtained with the best of carefully selected fruit undergoes maceration for 7-10 days. After fermentation and malolactic fermentation is an extract of wine, which takes about 12 months and is carried out in new French barrels of 350 liters.
