Wine Corte Giara, Recioto della Valpolicella DOC, 2019, 0.5 L

Recioto della red sweet Valpolicella – a quiet full-bodied wine, aged in oak. The grapes for this wine are harvested from vineyards located in the hills of the height of 240 meters above sea level in the south-eastern exposure and clay-limestone soils. The average age of the vines is 22 years. Harvested by hand, bunches of dried for 4 months. Slow fermentation continues in steel tanks 7-9 days until the alcohol level of about 13%. Then the wine is maintained 5 months in stainless steel vats, in casks and then for 15 months (50% Slavonian oak barrels, the other 50% – annual barriques) then bottled and kept for a further 6 months. Wine storage potential is 5-7 years.
