Wine Glenelly, “Glass Collection” Merlot, 2020

The Glass Collection is inspired by the beloved glass art collection of May de Lenquesen, a French winemaker who has been the owner and managing director of the iconic Chteau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande winery for over 30 years. Glass Collection wines demonstrate the unique terroir and diversity of grape varieties planted on the Glenelli estate.

Glenelly, “Glass Collection” Merlot is a dry red wine that demonstrates stunning concentration, richness and generous fruitiness. The wine is made from Merlot grapes grown in Simonsberg. The hand-harvested crop was lightly crushed. Natural slow fermentation with natural yeasts took place in stainless steel tanks, followed by maceration on the skins for 3 weeks. Malolactic fermentation and aging of the wine for 12 months were carried out in French oak barrels. The storage potential of wine is 7-8 years.
