Wine Il Borro, “Lamelle”, Toscana IGT, 2020

“Lamelle” – fruity wine with a pleasant freshness, which is the latest and most abundant among the white wines of “Il Borgo”. Before there was a problem by the winemakers of the wine showcase the diversity and potential of the Tuscan terroir able to go beyond the conventional models and prejudices. The wine is made from handpicked and carefully sorted manually Chardonnay grapes. Fermentation of the wort at a controlled temperature of 16 C is carried out in new French oak barrels (50%) in steel tanks. Then the wine is aged for two months in barrels, filtered and matures in bottles for another two months, until April of next year. Due to the short aging in barrels, the wine has a good structure with a stable “backbone.”
