Wine Mastrojanni, “Vigna Loreto” Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 2015, wooden box, 1.5 L

Vigna Loreto, Brunello di Montalcino – second wine farms Mastrojanni. With its rich flavor and juicy taste, it delights combination of elegance and power. Wine is made from grapes Sangiovese Grosso (Brunello), grown in the vineyard Loreto. It is located at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level, two kilometers from the mouth of the river Orcia, between the towns of Rocca d’Orcia and Castiglione d’Orcia. The vineyard is oriented to the south, southeast and partly in the south-west. All sites have a different geological structure. In the south-east is dominated by clay and tuff with sandy patches and in the south and southwest of the soil consists mainly of river pebbles and limestone. 40-year-old vines that grow on poor land, have limited yields (60-65 t / ha) and give the best grapes, from which are born great wines.

For the manufacture of wine Via Loreto used handpicked and carefully selected, healthy grapes, reached optimum maturity. After pressing the berries produced a long maceration in contact with the skin. After fermentation the wine for 36 months matured in oak barrels Allier (15, 33 and 54 hl), and before the release it is still 6-8 months aged in bottles in the cellar economy. Mastrojanni, Vigna Loreto has a long storage capacity. Wine harvest in 2009 can be drunk now and in the period until 2023.
