Sale! “Moses Rock” was the name of a wild stallion that roamed the Villabrup area on the Margaret River in the 1920s. Legend has it that it was named after a very popular surf break due to its energy, spirit and wild temperament. He is depicted galloping on the labels of the “Moses Rock” brand. The winery strives to reflect its vitality and personality in every bottle of Moses Rock wines, made from the region’s signature varieties that made Margaret River famous.
“Moses Rock” Sauvignon Blanc – fresh, lively wine with bright fruity flavors and aromas. It is harvested at optimum ripeness during the coolest night hours to retain the vibrant primary fruit aromas. The grapes are immediately transported to the winery, crushed, pressed and settled in a cold state. After two days, the must is filtered and yeast is added, selected in such a way as to best express the varietal character of Sauvignon Blanc. The fermentation temperature is maintained at around 13-14C to maintain freshness and fruitiness, as well as to develop a complex bouquet and increase the weight of the flavor. After fermentation, the wine undergoes cold stabilization and filtration. Aged in French oak barrels for 10 months.
