Wine Podere le Ripi, “Amore e Magia” Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 2019

“Amore e Magia” Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 2018 is a bright and attractive wine made from Sangiovese grapes. The 2018 harvest was softer, as refreshing rains fell in early September. The wines of this vintage are certainly rich and Mediterranean in style. The producer believes that with proper storage, the wines will continue to have interesting dynamics and a long aging period. The grapes were harvested during the first week of September. Fermentation and maceration take place for 50 days in open wooden vats. Initially, 80% of fermentation is accompanied by open pumping. The final part of fermentation takes place with the immersion of the cap of the pulp in the must (Piedmontese method). The wine is aged for 24 months in large oak barrels, then the wine spends 18 months in concrete vats. The total circulation of the wine is 13,000 bottles.
