Wine Roccafiore, “Melograno” Rosso, Umbria IGT, 2019

“Melograno” Rosso, Umbria IGT – red wine, represent blends Sangiovese grape varieties (80%) and Montepulciano (20%), grown in Umbria. Productivity of land is maintained at 80 tons per hectare; planting density – 6500 plants per unit area. Harvesting takes place by hand in mid-September. Each variety is collected and vinified separately. Alcoholic fermentation which precedes short maceration takes place in steel tank vessels at a controlled temperature. wine maturation lasts all year in the same steel tanks and after bottling, the wine is still 2 months of “rest” in a bottle. Circulation of wine “Melograno”, 2014 was 30 000 bottles.
