Wine Schubert, Rose, Wairarapa, 2019

Schubert, Rose, 2015 – created in a classical European style pink dry wine from New Zealand. Wairarapa wine region occupies the southern part of the North Island of New Zealand, to the east of the capital city – Wellington. There are very good conditions for the cultivation of grapes Pinot Noir, from which it is made and rose wine. The harvest in 2015 was collected by hand on 31 March. After the soft pressing and a five-hour maceration wort is drained into the fermentation tanks by gravity, which allows to preserve freshness. Bottling took place on October 15, 2015. Wine Storage Capacity is about four years. New Zealand wine critic Bob Campbell rated this wine 92 points.

Winery “Schubert” was created in 1998 by two graduates of the University of the German Viticulture and Oenology in Gssenheim – Kai Schubert and Marion Deymlingom. They got a lot of experience, having worked at Ernie Luzena on “Dr. Loosen Estate” in Germany and in other vineyards in different countries, but their dream has always been to create its own winery. They carefully choose the place for your next winery in regions such as Oregon, California, Australia, parts of Europe, but really they drew Wairarapa region in the southern part of New Zealand. After studying about 100 plots of land in New Zealand, two young men picked up in the Wairarapa, which, in their opinion, ideal for their favorite Pinot Noir and its clones. Both sites were acquired in 1998. The vines in the vineyards “Schubert” planted in the European style – tight enough. A distinctive feature of the production is very limited volumes of grapes and therefore wine at its very high quality.

Wines “Schubert” has repeatedly been awarded various prizes. Best known wine “Schubert” Pinot Noir and the “Schubert” Cabernet Sauvignon, the last of which was twice recognized as the best New Zealand Cabernet. All wines are distinguished Schubert fruity style and a balanced character.
