Wine Shannon Vineyards, “RocknRolla” Pinot Noir, 2022

Mount Bullet is an iconic wine created to pay homage and truly express the terroir of Shannon Vineyards. The wine blend consists of 5 Merlot clones (MO 343, 348, 192, 12, 03) grown on a unique soil consisting primarily of Table Mountain sandstone and having a high percentage of quartz and silica crystals and a deeper kaolin clay base. Each clone is fermented and matured separately for 20 months in oak barrels from French Bordeaux cooperages. The wines are then carefully blended to create the perfect and unique representation of Merlot from the oldest varietal vineyard in the Elgin Valley.
