Wine “Sutherland” Sauvignon Blanc, 2022

The vineyard “Sutherland” is located about 70 km southeast of Cape Town in the Overberg region. It is unique with its location on a high plateau surrounded by mountains. This area is famous for its apple orchards, and now it is gaining recognition with its fragrant white wines. The proximity to the sea with its cool breezes allows the grapes to ripen more slowly than in other regions of Cape Town.

The fine refreshing wine “Sutherland” Sauvignon Blanc has a characteristic mineral core due to the peculiarities of the soil where the grapes grow. An arid summer with little rainfall was characterized by ideal conditions for growing grapes. After harvesting the berries are pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The best period of use of vintage in 2016 is in 2018-2020.
